Courtesy of The Blue Spade, aka, Scott Bandy, following are the lyrics to his most recent music parody, “Push the Dialog,” a song about Charlottesville’s proposed Human Rights Commission, which in turn was spawned by the city’s overhyped  “Dialogue on Race.”

Sung to Taco’s version of Irving Berlin’s, “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” this live performance occurred on The Schilling Show, February 8, 2013, before a radio audience of thousands.

Push The Dialog
(to the tune of Puttin on the Ritz)

Here’s a form
If you’re not sure whom to inform
Where HRC dogpiles backlog
Push the Dialog

Epithets
Ill spoken as if with turrets
Stereotypes base monologue
Push the dialog

Take the city council tour down skid rows
Throw a pizza party like Ms. Szakos
Vote defacto

Predisposed
With juxtaposed bias exposed
Where mediation stays prologue
Pose the Dialog

Victim allegory plays
Demographed excluding gays
Biased slurs on Free Speech Wall
Out in front of City Hall
HR, commission model
C’ville, pat supermodel
Fairness shall arise
All to placate’s demise

Here’s a form
If you’re not sure whom to inform
Where HRC dogpiles backlog
Push the Dialog

Stereotypes base monologue
Push the dialog

Throw a pizza party like Ms. Szakos
