The Albemarle County Republican headquarters building in Albemarle Square was vandalized overnight.
GOP officials report broken and shattered glass as a result of bricks thrown through two windows adjacent to Route 29 N and a third window on the building’s north side. Police have been notified and an investigation into the vandalism has begun.
The attack comes amid regional and national reports of violence in the aftermath of last week’s Congressional health care vote.
