In an email and website touting that their offices would be closed for the occasion, Albemarle County embarrassingly misspelled Veterans Day as “Veteran’s Day.”
This is not the first time that Albemarle County has committed apostrophe abuse on this federal holiday, nor will it likely be the last. Disrespect and incompetence run rampant in the County Office Building.
Perhaps Albemarle County is spending too much money on DEI and not enough on PR.
